Just for Seth!

Geographic Regions Review

Even though you don't actually have to take the Geographic Regions Quiz, you should DEFINITELY know your information.  You should know your continents and oceans, latitude and longitude, and the geographic regions (both the locations and the characteristics).

Latitude & Longitude Song

See the card below for the lyrics to the Latitude/Longitude Song!  Remember that we will sing and record this song tomorrow in class!  After your class's song has been recorded and uploaded to the blog, you should vote for your class in the poll on the right.  The class that wins will receive Smile Tickets!

Pre-Test

Click on the link below to take the Pre-Test.  Remember, pre-test scores NEVER count toward your grade.  They show me what information you already know about the unit and what content we need to focus on as a class.

Remember to try your best on the pre-test!

Good luck!

AFTER THE PRE-TEST:

1.  Look over the questions that you missed.
2.  Work on MyUSA project OR your vocab boxes.
4.  Play 50 states games from the blog.
5.  Read.

You can use the following links to practice Quia quizzes and games AT HOME!  You can do each of these activities as many times as you want!

ANOTHER Smile Ticket Opportunity!

You have ANOTHER Smile Ticket Opportunity (in addition to bringing in supplies for Smile Tickets)!  For ONE Smile Ticket, post a comment on THIS POST to show me that you understand how to post comments.  You can either post as Anonymous or make up a name, but NO FULL NAMES (I won't post comments with full names)!

In order to earn this Smile Ticket opportunity, you must include your first name and last initial, along with your block number (ex. Joe S., 2nd Block).  Remember, I have to approve ALL comments before they will show up on the blog (I'll get to them as fast as possible, I promise!).

This Smile Ticket opportunity MUST be completed by 8a on Friday, September 1st.

HAVE FUN!

Smile Ticket Opportunity

Here are the supplies you can bring in for Smile Tickets!  Remember, this is NOT required, but it is very much appreciated!  These supplies will help the classroom run more smoothly.

Some supplies are worth more Smile Tickets than others!  Each Smile Ticket is a chance to win a prize in the weekly drawing!  See me if you have any questions.

Practice Quiz and Game

You can use the following links to practice Quia quizzes and games AT HOME!  You can do each of these activities as many times as you want!

Do you know your states?

As students in the sixth grade, you should know ALL fifty states and where they are located.  This information will not only be very helpful to you in this course (as well as future Social Studies classes), but you should know these things as an American citizen!

Test your knowledge of the fifty states using the games below!

People who don't know all fifty states...
